We love open source!

Many of the software solutions we suggest are open source. Why? Open source software has been around since the 1960's and what makes it so powerful and exciting is the backend programming is available for use, modification or distribution.

Many software solutions do not give you access to the source code and often times this is fine, but small businesses often have unique needs and the ability to alter a program when necessary makes it powerful for the user.

When should I stay away from open source software?

While we truly love open source software, sometimes it's best to stick with proprietary software. While open source software can often come at a lower price point, it can sometimes be challenging to use.

We recommend open source software if it fits a companies needs and is easy to use or if the company has someone on staff who is tech savvy.
